Celebrates the achievement of schools in embedding safeguarding in every strand of the school culture, curriculum and classroom. The award process provides that instrument of accountability and monitoring compliance for ensuring that schools have appropriate structures, processes, and resources in place to ensure safeguarding and wellbeing is central to all the school does and that children are protected with enabling environments. This is an evidence-based process available to schools internationally and aligned with global best practices.
It is committed to supporting schools in building and embedding a culture that places transparency and sound safeguarding & well-being practice at the centre of all its activities – Article 19 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child states that, ‘every child should be protected from abuse’. Everyone has a responsibility to make sure that children are safeguarded and protected from abuse and neglect

Each certified school would be presented with a certificate of achievement, the award logo for public display and a lanyard pin to wear with pride.
IQM adopts a hands-on practical approach in assessment to understand the ins and outs of the safeguarding practices you need to create safer educational settings.
Through the Award system, IQM challenges you on implementation procedures, routine evaluation and Impact on your local community.
The certification process to progress to the GOLD standard is an assessment to determine that your school can be graded as a CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE.
This assessment and audit process would access how you share best practice and extend it in your local community. It would also create opportunities for partnership with schools in London. It showcases your schools commitment to contextual safeguarding
Duration for Certification is One (1) year, Six (6) months with a payment of £5,000+vat revalidation for Three (3)-years.

The certification process to progress to the SILVER standard is an assessment to determine that your school can be graded as a MODEL SCHOOL.
The assessment and audit process would assess on safeguarding and the level of implementation of best practices that demonstrate your school’s commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.
Duration for Certification is One (1) year with a payment of £3,500+vat revalidation for Two (2) years.
£3,500 + Vat
The certification process to attain BRONZE standard would be an assessment to determine that your school can be graded as a PROACTIVE SCHOOL.
The assessment and audit process would assess on awareness and alternative thinking strategies that promote all-around safeguarding and wellbeing of in your school.
The duration for Certification is six months with a payment of £2,500+vat revalidation for one year..

The IQM Safeguarding Schools Award lasts for 3 years before a school needs to undergo reassessment. An IQM team member will get in touch during the previous academic year to remind you of this and forward on the necessary documents
